DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0602:00 Powertrain Control Module Programming Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a programming error within the vehicle identification (VID) block.
PCM P0604:00 Internal Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM) Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the RAM is corrupt. Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action. Check for aftermarket performance products.
PCM P0605:00 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the ROM is corrupt. Reprogram the vehicle identification block. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action. Check for aftermarket performance products. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Programming the (VID) Block for a Replacement PCM.
PCM P0606:00 Control Module Processor: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects an internal communication error. Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and diagnose those first. Check for aftermarket performance products. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), repeat the self-test.
PCM P0607:00 Control Module Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the internal central processing unit (CPU) encounters an error. The PCM monitors itself and carries out internal checks of its own CPU. This DTC sets if any of these checks returns an incorrect value. Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and diagnose those first. Check for aftermarket performance products. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), repeat the self-test.
PCM P0610:00 Control Module Vehicle Options Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects one or more of the PCM VID Block fields are configured incorrectly. Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action. Check for aftermarket performance products.
PCM P061E:00 Internal Control Module Brake Signal Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects an incorrect BPP sensor signal is received by the PCM. This DTC also sets when an internal PCM communication error occurs in the PCM. Check for an incorrectly adjusted BPP sensor. Refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING PART 1 / EXTERIOR LIGHTING PART 2 . Check for other DTCs and diagnose those first. Check for aftermarket performance products. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), repeat the self-test.
PCM P062F:00 Internal Control Module EEPROM Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the read only memory (ROM) is corrupt. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and diagnose those first. Check for aftermarket performance products. Reprogram or update the calibration. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, carry out the passive PATS parameter reset. Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the self-test.
PCM P0630:00 VIN Not Programmed or Incompatible - ECM/PCM: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects various VID data that is out of a specified acceptable range. The PCM did not receive a valid vehicle identification number (VIN) during reprogramming. Check for all other module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or related symptoms. Diagnose all other module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) before diagnosing this DTC. Reprogram the BCM, instrument cluster, and PCM using as built data. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Programming The VID Block For A Replacement PCM, to reprogram the PCM.
PCM P064F:00 Unauthorized Software/Calibration Detected: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects an unauthorized calibration.
PCM P160A:00 Control Module Vehicle Options Reconfiguration Error: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a mismatch in configuration data and programmable parameters between the PCM and BCM. Reprogram or update the calibration. If the PCM already has the latest calibration, carry out the relearn vehicle data procedure on the scan tool. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action.
PCM P161C:00 Automatic Engine Shutdown Mismatch with Vehicle Configuration: No Sub Type Information Sets when the IPC detects a mismatch in configuration data and programmable parameters between the PCM and the IPC.
PCM P1635:00 Tire/Axle Out of Acceptable Range: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the tire and axle information contained in the vehicle identification (VID) block does not match the vehicle hardware. Using the scan tool, view the tire and axle parameters within the VID block. They must match the vehicle hardware.
PCM P1639:00 Vehicle ID Block Corrupted, Not Programmed: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the VID block is not programmed or the information within is corrupt. Program the PCM to the most recent calibration available. The VID block must be programmed. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Making Changes to the VID Block.
PCM P1935:00 Brake Switch/Sensor Signal: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM does not receive the ABS message within the defined amount of time. The PCM continuously monitors the CAN for messages from the ABS module. Check for other ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or ABS related symptoms. Diagnose all other ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or ABS related symptoms first.
PCM P264F:00 Engine Serial Number Not Programmed or Incompatible: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM does not receive a valid engine serial number during reprogramming. The VID block must be programmed. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Programming VID Block. If the PCM does not allow reprogramming of the VID block, reflashing of the PCM is required.
PCM U2100:00 Initial Configuration Not Complete: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a programming error within the vehicle identification (VID) block. Program the VID block. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Making Changes to the VID Block. If the PCM does not allow reprogramming of the VID block, reflashing of the PCM is required.
PCM U2101:00 Control Module Configuration Incompatible: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the RAM is corrupt. Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or drive symptoms for further action. Check for aftermarket performance products. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Programming the VID Block for a replacement PCM.
PCM U2200:00 Control Module Configuration Memory Corrupt: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a programming error within the vehicle identification (VID) block. Program the VID block. Refer to Flash EEPROM, Making Changes to the VID Block. If the PCM does not allow reprogramming of the VID block, reflashing of the PCM is required.
