Steering Wheel Switches

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2018 Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty, and 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The cruise control steering wheel mounted switches are momentary contact switches that toggle up and down for the switch state. The switches are an input to the SCCM. For vehicles equipped with adaptive steering, the switches are an input to the Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) in the steering wheel. The switch signals are sent to the SASM from the Steering Effort Control Module (SECM) on private CAN circuits. The SASM sends the switch signals to the SCCM on the HS-CAN2.
