Pinpoint Test A : No GFM2 (Generic Function Module 2) Controlled Systems Are Operational

A1 PERFORM INSPECTION AND VERIFICATION
- Perform Inspection and Verification procedure in this information.
Was an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern found?

Yes CORRECT the cause as necessary.

No GO to A2

A2 CHECK GFM2 (GENERIC FUNCTION MODULE 2) POWER

Disconnect GFM2 C290C.

Ignition ON.

Measure and record:

Is the voltage within 0.5 volt of the recorded battery voltage?

Yes

GO to A3

No	VERIFY BJB fuse F91 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to OEM Electrical Wiring Diagram Introduction to identify the possible causes of the circuit short.

A3 CHECK GFM2 (GENERIC FUNCTION MODULE 2) GROUND

Ignition OFF.

Measure:

Positive Lead	Measurement / Action	Negative Lead
Refer to C290C-4	Courtesy of FORD MOTOR COMPANY	Ground

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes	INSTALL a new GFM2 REFER to: Generic Function Module 2 (GFM2) .

No	REPAIR the circuit.
