Pinpoint Test E: Central Configuration Faults

  1. Refer to Module Communications Network for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    The TCCM receives VID (vehicle identification) block configuration data from the BCM over the HS-CAN. This data includes items like tire size, axle ratio, and other vehicle options.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    TCCM U2300:54 Central Configuration: Missing Calibration The TCCM central configuration software has detected an internal data error.
    TCCM U2300:55 Central Configuration: Not Configured The TCCM central configuration software has detected an internal data error.
    TCCM U2300:56 Central Configuration: Invalid/Incompatible Configuration The TCCM central configuration software has detected an internal data error.
    TCCM U2300:64 Central Configuration: Signal Plausibility Failure The TCCM central configuration software has detected an internal data error.

    Possible Sources 

    • BCM faults
    • TCCM

  2. E1 CHECK FOR BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode: BCM On Demand and CM DTC self-test.

    Are any BCM DTC present? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE and REPAIR all DTC in the BCM.
    No  GO to  E2
  3. E2 ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE DATA ERROR

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode: BCM automatic as-built programming.

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Enter the following diagnostic mode: TCCM Clear and retest CMDTC.

    Is the U2300:xx DTC present? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new TCCM.
    No  The repair is complete.
