WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Refer to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the BCM sends messages to the GWM over the HS-CAN1, the GWM relays these messages to the ABS module over the FD-CAN. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the module sets Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the BCM, REFER to: Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control - System Operation and Component Description . .
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Condition |
|---|---|---|
| ABS U0140:00 | Lost Communication With Body Control Module: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the ABS module does not receive any messages from the BCM. |
| ABS U0422:00 | Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module: No Sub Type Information | This DTC sets if the ignition signal status message is invalid for 5 seconds. |
