- NOTE: The Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) is referred to as the SOBDMB (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module B) in the scan tool.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMB P0BCD:00 Generator Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets if the generator is significantly different than the other temperatures inside of the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) after a long soak period. Possible Sources
- Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC)
- AD1 CHECK THE SECONDARY INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (S-ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) is at the latest calibration level.
Is the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) at the latest calibration level?
Yes GO to AD2 No UPDATE the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) to the latest calibration level. - AD2 COLD SOAK THE VEHICLE AND CHECK FOR SECONDARY INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (S-ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)NOTE: Do not perform any key cycles after clearing the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Park the vehicle in a location where it can remain undisturbed and not plugged in (PHEV only) for a full 6 hours.
- Ignition ON.
- CLEAR the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- After a 6 hour cold soak and in the same location the vehicle was originally parked.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) self-test.
Is DTC P0BCD present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMB] . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
