Pinpoint Test R: P0A1D:08

  1. NOTE: The Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) is referred to as the SOBDMB (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module B) in the scan tool.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Front Electric Drive Assembly - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    SOBDMB P0A1D:08 Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module "A": Bus Signal/Message Failures This DTC sets when a software calibration issue is detected.

    Possible Sources 

    • Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) calibration

  2. R1 VERIFY THE SECONDARY INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (S-ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL

    • Verify the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) is at the latest calibration level.

    Is the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) at the latest calibration level? 

    Yes  GO to  R2
    No  UPDATE the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) to the latest calibration level.
  3. R2 CLEAR AND CHECK THE SECONDARY INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (S-ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) DTCs.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) self-test.

    Is DTC P0A1D:08 present in the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC)? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, REFLASH the Secondary Inverter System Controller (S-ISC) with the latest calibration. If the concern still exists after the reflash, it is necessary to seek additional help. REFER to the Service Repair And Technical Assistance Process. A vehicle data recorder (VDR) or similar recorder may also be useful.
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
