Pinpoint Test Purpose

To verify PSCM DTC U2016 is present and provide diagnostics if DTC U2016 is currently active in the PSCM.

1. BO1: VERIFY THE PSCM DTC 
   • Ignition ON, engine OFF.
   • Clear the PSCM DTCs.
   • Ignition OFF.
   • Wait at least 90 seconds for the modules to completely shut off.
   • Start the vehicle.
     • Make sure the engine ready indicator is illuminated.

     Carry out the PSCM self-test.

   • Is DTC U2016:xx present and active in the PSCM? 

   Yes	No
   INSTALL a new EPAS steering column. REFER to the Steering Column article. ORDER a replacement EPAS column and INCLUDE the RVC on the form. If this is a Ford paid repair, INCLUDE the RVC on the warranty claim form.	If the PSCM does not list DTC U2016, DISCONTINUE this test and REFER to the DTC Chart for direction.
