During the ignition cycle the DTC initially sets, the PSCM enters reduced assist mode.

During the next ignition cycle after the DTC sets the PSCM removes steering assist and enters into manual mode, the module transmits an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN and the module also sends a message to the IPC to illuminate the power steering warning indicator.
