Selectable Driving Modes

Some vehicles are equipped with selectable drive modes which allow for different driving experiences. These driving modes alter throttle response, powertrain response, EPAS feel and stability control intervention thresholds. The driving modes are selected using the message center.

Some drive modes reduce traction and stability control performance and the stability-traction control warning indicator illuminates in the instrument cluster.

• Engage 

  : delivers a balanced combination of comfort, control and handling. Stability control, steering and powertrain response thresholds remain the same. Engage mode is for everyday driving

• Unbridled 

  : increases throttle response, the suspension active dampers become stiffer reducing body motion, steering becomes more precise and stability control thresholds are increased. Unbridled mode is for sporty driving with improved performance handling and response.

• Whisper 

  : decreases throttle response, the suspension active damper become softer for a more gentle ride, steering feel is relaxed and stability control thresholds are decreased. Whisper mode is for relaxed driving and adverse weather conditions.
