Yes GO to N2 No DIAGNOSE the SCCM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool. REFER to: Communications Network . - N2 CHECK THE SCCM (STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the SCCM self-test.
- Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the SCCM self-test.
- Record the SCCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Are DTC U0422:00, U053B:00 retrieved again?
Yes For DTC U0422:00, GO to N3For U053B:00, GO to N4 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - N3 CHECK THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BCM self-test.
- Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BCM self-test.
- Record the BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
