Pinpoint Test As: A Module Does Not Communicate With The Diagnostic Scan Tool

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Lane Keeping System - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Fuse
    • Wiring, terminals or connectors
    • Module

  2. AS1 CHECK FOR THE FUSE, WIRING, TERMINALS, CONNECTIONS AND MODULE

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the module in question.

    Was an obvious cause found? 

    Yes  Vehicle without SYNC 4 - REFER to: Communications Network . , Vehicle with SYNC 4 - REFER to: Controller Area Network (CAN) Module Communications Network .
    No  The repair is complete.
