Rear Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (RHVAC) Control Module
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Ford Transit-350 HD, 2022 Ford Transit-350, 2022 Ford Transit-250, 2022 Ford Transit-150, and 2022 Ford E-Transit. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The rotary switches on the RHVAC control module are used by the vehicle occupants to request changes to the rear climate control system. The fan speed control rotary switch determines blower motor speed. The temperature and air distribution control rotary switch determines the temperature door actuator position. RHVAC control module internal logic uses the temperature and air distribution control rotary switch position to control the correct blower motor as follows:
- panel position (or full cold) controls the A/C blower motor
- panel and floor position controls both A/C and heater blower motors
- floor position (or full hot) controls heater blower motor
- the rear temperature door is moved to agree with the temperature and air distribution control rotary switch position
