Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Programming .
Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
Disconnect the electrical connector and harness retainer and position harness aside.

Remove the retainer and module.
Torque

: Nut: 42 lb. In (4.8 Nm) Bolt: 93 lb. In (10.5 Nm)

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Position the lock pin away from the PCM mounting bracket and slide the PCM out from the mounting bracket.
