The GFM is the controlling ECU for the trailer TPMS and contains a radio signal receiver which collects the tire pressure data from the trailer TPMS sensors. When a new GFM is installed, the number of wheels on the trailer and the upper pressure limit for the tires must be programmed into the GFM using the message center menu and the buttons on the steering wheel.
