Pinpoint Test At: The Abs Module Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Scan Tool

- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the diagnostic scan tool communicates with the ABS module over the FD-CAN. Communications can be interrupted by a wiring condition such as a short to ground, a short to voltage or an open circuit; module failure is also a cause of no communication.
Possible Sources
- Fuses
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- ABS module
- AT1 VERIFY THE NO COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTICS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED
- Diagnostics in service information MUST BE CARRIED OUT before continuing with this pinpoint test.
Has the appropriate pinpoint test in the service information been carried out for the no communication concern?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions.
