Pinpoint Test A: The CCM (Cruise Control Module) Does Not Communicate With The Diagnostic Scan Tool

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The CCM communicates with the diagnostic scan tool through the IPMA on a private CAN circuit. REFER to: Cruise Control - System Operation and Component Description .
Possible Sources
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals and connector
- CCM
- IPMA
- DC/ DC converter control module
Visual Inspection and Pre-checks
- Check BJB fuse 23 (7.5A) is OK.
- A1 CHECK FOR DC (DIRECT CURRENT) / DC (DIRECT CURRENT) CONVERTER CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all DC/ DC converter control module DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the DC/ DC converter control module self-test.
Are any non-network DTCs recorded?
Yes DIAGNOSE and REPAIR those DTCs first. REFER to: Direct Current/Direct Current (DC/DC) Converter Control Module . No GO to A2 - A2 CHECK FOR IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) DTCS
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all IPMA DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPMA self-test.
Are any network or non-network DTCs recorded?
Yes DIAGNOSE and REPAIR those DTCs first. REFER to: Lane Keeping System . No DIAGNOSE lost communication with the CCM and follow Pinpoint Test C1001:08, GO to Pinpoint Test D
