Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization

Initialization
WARNING:
Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect objects in its path. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
The roof opening panel motor must be initialized when repairs are carried out on the roof opening panel system, including: any time the roof opening panel motor has been removed, the roof opening panel glass (rear fixed glass or front sliding) has been removed, the roof opening panel shield or frame has been removed, or if the roof opening panel glass does not close fully.
NOTE:
Until the initialization procedure is complete, the one-touch open and one-touch close function is disabled.
NOTE:
An initialization procedure that was interrupted or not completed can be started again after cycling the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON again.
- Place the roof opening panel glass in the fully closed position and the roof opening panel shield in fully open position.
- Open the drivers or front passenger door and leave open.
- Cycle the ignition switch ON - OFF - ON within 5 seconds.
- Within 2 seconds, press and hold the shade open switch for 20 seconds. This will de-initialize the system. Confirm the de-initialization by checking one-touch open and one-touch close functions are disabled.
- Press and hold the Glass Close switch to the first detent position.
- The Sliding Glass will move forward, stall and then move quickly back to the Full Closed position.
- The Shade will move forward, stall and then move quickly back to the Full Closed position.
- Release and quickly re-press the Glass Close switch.
- The Shade will move to the Full Open and back to the Full Closed position.
- The Glass will move to the Full Open and back to the Full Closed position.
- Verify proper one-touch open and close operation.
