Front Seat Track Repair

Activation 

  1. If equipped, using both the height and front tilt functions, adjust the seat to it's highest position.
  2. If equipped with a front seat lower trim panel valance, remove the affected front seat. Refer to the appropriate REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  procedure.
  3. If equipped, remove the DSM or SCMB. Refer to the appropriate REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  procedure.
  4. If equipped, remove the seat module mounting bracket.
  5. Cut 2 pieces of 1 inch (25.4mm) long section of 3/4 inch (19mm) diameter heater hose.

  6. Cut a slit in both of the 1 inch (25.4mm) pieces of heater hose.

  7. On both sides, install the heater hose over the front cross tube.

  8. On both sides, install a 3/8 inch (9.5mm) hose clamp over the heater hose securing the heater hose to the cross tube.

  9. NOTE: Note the orientation of the 3/8 inch (9.5mm) hose clamp.

    On both sides, push the heater hose against the handcuff bracket or cushion hook and tighten the hose clamp as shown.

    Torque : 33 lb.in (3.7 Nm)

  10. On both sides, verify the position of the heater hose and hose clamp.

  11. If equipped, install the seat module mounting bracket.
  12. If equipped, install the DSM or SCMB. Refer to the appropriate REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  procedure.
  13. If equipped with a front seat lower trim panel valance, install the affected front seat. Refer to the appropriate REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  procedure.
