Side Obstacle Detection Control Module (SODCM): Removal

Side obstacle detection control module 

NOTE: This step is only necessary if the SODL or SODR is being replaced.
NOTE: LH side is shown in illustration, RH side is similar.
  1. Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the SODL or SODR following the on-screen instructions.
  2. Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to: REAR BUMPER COVER .
  3. Remove the SODL or SODR.

    1. Disconnect the SODL or SODR electrical connector.
    2. Remove the SODL or SODR screws.

  4. If required. Remove the screws and the SODL or SODR bracket.

  5. Remove the SODL or SODR.
  6. Remove the screws and the SODL or SODR bracket.
