Component Description: IPMA

The IPMA is on the LH side of the vehicle below the instrument panel. The IPMA communicates on the HS-CAN2 and on vehicles equipped with the adaptive cruise control and collision warning system, the IPMA shares information with the CCM on dedicated CAN circuits to assist the driver in avoiding a collision.
The IPMA uses the ethernet communication network for OTA. For more information on OTA, Refer to: Parking Aid - System Operation and Component Description .
The IPMA requires PMI when replaced. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .
NOTE:
When a new IPMA is installed, a camera alignment DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is stored until the IPMA camera alignment is successfully completed.
