Pinpoint Test CN: Abs Module Communication Concern With Sima

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2023 Ford Bronco. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The SIMA is also known as the Driveline Chassis Switch (DLCS).

With the ignition ON, the SIMA sends messages to the ABS module over the FD-CAN. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the allotted time frame or if the messages contain invalid data, the module sets a DTC. This can be due to a SIMA failure, a circuit failure on the network or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the SIMA, refer to Network Message Chart , Description and Operation in the Service Articles.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
