Pinpoint Test A: B15E0:01

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    The BCM uses microprocessors or a FET to control the output of several vehicle systems. When an overload occurs on any of these microprocessors, this DTC sets.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    BCM B15E0:01 Micro Integrity Fault: General Electrical Failure A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM when a microprocessor integrity fault exists.

    Possible Sources 

    • BCM

  2. A1 REVIEW THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Connect the diagnostic tool.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Preform the BCM self-test.

    Are any DTCs present besides B15E0:01? 

    Yes  REFER to the appropriate DTC Chart.
    No  GO to A2 
  3. A2 REPEAT THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the DTCs.

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Repeat the BCM self-test.

    Is DTC B15E0:01 still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The circuit short has been repaired.
