Side Obstacle Detection Control Module (SODCM): Removal

NOTE: If installing a new SODL or SODR, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new SODL or SODR after installation.

Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the SODL or SODR following the on-screen instructions.
Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover
1. Detach the retainer.
2. Release the tabs and position the SODL or SODR bracket aside. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the SODL or SODR.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Release the tabs.
