Pinpoint Test Q: A Module Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Scan Tool

With the ignition ON, the SECM and the diagnostic scan tool communicate through the SASM and over the HS-CAN2.

If communications cannot be established between the SECM and the diagnostic scan tool, refer to Module Communications Diagnosis and Testing in appropriate Service Information.

Possible Causes 

• Fuse(s)
• Wiring, terminals or connectors
• Network communications concern
• SECM
