Pinpoint Test I: Insufficient Air Conditioning (A/C) Cooling

  1. Possible Causes 

    • Improper A/C system refrigerant charge
    • Temperature door actuator

  2. I1 CHECK THE AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) SYSTEM FOR PROPER CHARGE

    NOTE: Proper Air Conditioning (A/C) system diagnosis on a vehicle's compressor is dependent on correct refrigerant system charge and tested in ambient temperatures above 21.1deg.C (70deg.F).

    Did the system pass the refrigerant system tests? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE for temperature door actuator not operating correctly. GO to Pinpoint Test N 
    No  REPAIR the concern found in the refrigerant system tests chart. REFER to: Refrigerant System Tests - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS) . REFER to: Refrigerant System Tests - 3.5L EcoBoost (BM) . REFER to: Refrigerant System Tests - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.2L 32V Ti-VCT - Supercharged .
