Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Upload the module information from the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. efer to: Module Programming (418-01 Module Configuration - 3.5L EcoBoost (BM)).

  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using FDRS, carry out the Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication procedure. SELECT TRON Diagnosis and Repair and follow the on screen instructions. efer to: Module Programming (418-01A).

  4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. efer to: Anti-Theft Key Programming - Scan Tool .

  5. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using the scan tool, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure, following the on-screen instructions.
