Generator Clutch

The generator clutch is eventually serviced separately from the generator - check Refer to: Generator Pulley . The primary function is to separate the generator rotor inertia from the FEAD belt, lowering belt tension at high Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) and reducing NVH.
