Axle Ratio Identification: Jeep
Axle ratio code is on tag attached to left side of axle housing cover on front axle. "CJ" model, code is stamped on axle housing tube boss adjacent to dowel hole. On Cherokee, Wagoneer and truck models, tag is attached to left rear housing cover on rear axle. Axles equipped with Trac-Lok differentials have tag attached with special lubrication information.
