Service Intervals: Notes

NOTE:
There are 2 light duty truck emission control standard classifications: Light Duty and Heavy Duty. Light Duty refers to vehicles up to 8500 lbs. (GVW); Heavy Duty refers to vehicles over 8500 lbs. (GVW).
- Check fluid level whenever vehicle is serviced. On vehicles used in normal service with Heavy Duty emissions, transmission should be drained and refilled every 36,000 miles.
- On vehicles with Light Duty emissions, transmission should be drained and refilled every 37,500 miles.
- On either Light or Heavy duty emission vehicles used under severe conditions, drain and refill transmission every 18,000 miles.
