Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Use care not to bend or distort the bracket that supports the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
  1. Install the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer to the bracket.
  2. Install the 3 yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer nuts to the bracket. Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lbs in).
  3. Connect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  4. Install the front floor bezel. Refer toBEZEL REPLACEMENT - FLOOR CONSOLE (LUXURY) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
