Compressor Clutch: Service and Repair

Compressor Clutch Plate/Hub Assembly Replacement (LLV - 2.9L, LLR - 3.7L)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the clutch plate retaining bolt (1).
3. Remove the clutch plate assembly (2).
4. Remove the clutch hub/bearing snap ring (3).
5. Remove the clutch hub/bearing assembly (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the clutch hub/bearing assembly (4).
2. Install the clutch hub/bearing snap ring (3).
3. Install the clutch plate assembly (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the clutch plate retaining bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

5. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (Service and Repair) .
