Installation Procedure

  1. Position the generator (2) onto the generator mounting bolt (1) and hand tighten.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the generator mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
  3. Tighten the generator mounting bolt (2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  4. Connect the engine harness connector (1) to the generator.

  5. Install the battery positive cable (2) to the generator stud and tighten the fastener (3) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  6. Slide the protective boot (1) onto the generator stud.

  7. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose to the front retaining clip (1).

  8. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose quick connect (1) to the power brake booster pump.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
