The rear seat entertainment (RSE) system utilizes the vehicle radio to play DVD movies and transmit video signals to the seatback displays. When the radio is turned ON, the seatback displays receive a voltage signal from the radio via the remote enable signal circuit indicating the system status. Discreet output circuits from the radio are used to transmit the DVD images to each of the displays. The radio utilizes discreet mode control circuits to each display to control the screen display mode via a pulse width modulated signal. A single brightness control circuit is used by the radio to control the display screen brightness for both displays via a pulse width modulated signal.
