Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery

  1. Install the battery. (1)
    2. Fig 2: Hold Down Retainer

  2. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Rod (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  4. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer (2)
  5. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  6. Install Front Compartment Fuse Block (3)
  7. Engage the retaining tabs. (2)
  8. Install Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) and tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

  9. Install Battery Positive Cable (1)
  10. Install Front Compartment Fuse Block Cable Nut (2) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  11. Close the battery fuse block cover.(3)
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
