Installation Procedure

  1. Generator (3) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. If necessary, install the generator mounting stud. (2) - Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  3. Generator Nut (1) - Hand tighten
  4. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

  5. Drive Belt (1) - Install - Drive Belt Replacement

  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  7. Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install

    NOTE:

    Anti-rotation tab is in the 12 o'clock position (arrow).

  8. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) @ Generator - Install and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  9. Protective Cap (1) - Install
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Remove the generator nut (1).
