Installation Procedure

  1. GM5866026

    Install the rear sliding window regulator (1) to the rear end panel reinforcement.

  2. GM5866028
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install and tighten the 5 rear sliding window regulator nuts (1). Fastener Specifications 

  3. GM6049732

    Communication Interface Module Bracket (2) - Install

  4. Communication Interface Module Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear sliding window motor.

  6. GM5864544

    Install and secure the rear sliding window (1) into the rear sliding window sash (2).

  7. GM5864541

    Install the wiring harness retainer.

  8. Connect the rear sliding window defogger electrical connector (1) to the rear sliding window wiring harness.
  9. With the aid of an assistant, install the rear end panel reinforcement into the vehicle.

    Install and tighten the 20 rear panel access bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

  11. Feed the rear seat center belt, anchor plate, and buckle through the rear seat belt guide.

    Install and tighten the 8 rear end panel reinforcement bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

    Connect the wiring harness retainers.

  14. Connect all electrical connectors.

    Install the rear window weatherstrip (1).

    Ensure the seat belt webbing is not caught by panel clip tower and is in front of it.

  17. Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding (1) - Install

  20. GM5777900

    Connect the wiring harness retainer.

  21. Headlining Rear Trim Panel (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  23. Rear Seat Position Center Reading and Courtesy Lamp (1) - Install
  24. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

    Feed the seat belt tensioner through the panel.

  26. Engage the retaining clips at the front and rear of the side door sill garnish molding (1).
  27. Side Door Sill Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
  28. Install the front and rear side door weatherstrips as necessary.

    Align the bottom of the center pillar lower trim panel with the side door sill garnish molding.

  30. Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Lower Hole Cover- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Bolt- Upper- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  33. Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Cover- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Rear Seat Cushion (2) - Install - Rear Seat Cushion Removal and Installation

  35. GM5784710

    Front Seat- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x] - Front Seat Removal and Installation

  36. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  37. Test the operation of the rear sliding window.
