Removal Procedure
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Drain the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Draining
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Chassis Front Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Remove
- Reposition the chassis front wiring harness ground (2).
Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) - Loosen
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2) - Remove
Disengage the evaporative emission canister filter pipe retainer (1).
- Fuel Feed Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
- Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove [2x]
Lower the fuel tank, allowing clearance to access connections at the top of the tank.
- Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)
Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Disconnect the electrical connectors. (2)
- Wiring Harness Clip (3) - Disengage [2x]
- Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition
Fuel Tank (1) - Remove
- Remove the jack.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Cover (1) - Remove
- Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (2) - Remove
