Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

    (Refer to appropriate Rear Seat - "REPAIR PROCEDURES  ")

  2. Remove the rear seat back assembly.

    (Refer to appropriate Rear Seat - "REPAIR PROCEDURES  ")

  3. Remove the rear console armrest assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "REAR CONSOLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Loosen the mounting bolt, remove the center seat belt lower anchor (A).

    Tightening torque:  39.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 - 39.8 lb-ft)

  5. Press the lock pin, separate the rear seat frame connector (A)

  6. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the rear seat frame assembly (A).

    Tightening torque:  Bolt: 21.6 - 31.4 N.m (2.2 - 3.2 kgf.m, 15.9 - 23.1 lb-ft)

    Nut: 9.6 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb-ft)

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
    • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
