Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Lightly tighten the inhibitor switch mounting nut (A) and bolts (B).

  2. Insert the special service tool (SST No.: 09480-D2100) to the parking switch and parking switch lever "P" position hole.

  3. Tighten mounting bolts (B) to the specified torque after tightening the parking switch mounting nut (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    1. 16.7-25.5 N.m (1.7 ~ 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8 lb-ft)
    2. 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  4. Remove the special service tool (SST No.: 09480-D2100).

  5. Tighten the screw after installing parking release cable (A) to the parking switch.

  6. Connect the parking switch connector (A).

  7. Tighten the mounting bolts (A, B) after installing the transmission bracket (C).

    Tightening torque: 

    1. 42.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.3 - 5.5 kgf.m, 31.1 - 39.8 lb-ft)
    2. 39.2 - 46.1 N.m (4.0 - 4.7 kgf.m, 28.9 - 34.0 lb-ft)

  8. Install the rear propeller shaft.

    (Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ")

  9. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
