Component Inspection

  1. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  4. IG "OFF".
  5. Disconnect ECU's connector connected to P-CAN bus.
  6. IG "ON".
  7. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  8. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Go to step  1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus in step 5.
    • Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
    • If DTC is present after above test, substitute with a known-good FECM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace FECM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
