DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Engine-off timer
  1. Poor connection
  2. Low battery voltage
Case 1 Enable Condition
  • Meets warm-up conditions in previous driving cycles
    • Coolant temperature is higher than 70°C (158°F)
    • Difference between the intake air temperature and the intake air temperature when IG ON is 0°C (32°F) or more
    • Difference between the cooling water temperature and the cooling water temperature when IG ON is 40°C (104°F) or more
Threshold Value
  • Engine off timer on key off is too slow to exceed specification
Case 2 Enable Condition
  • Meets warm-up conditions in previous driving cycles
    • Coolant temperature is higher than 70°C (158°F)
    • Difference between the intake air temperature and the intake air temperature when IG ON is 40°C (104°F) or less
    • Difference between the cooling water temperature and the cooling water temperature when IG ON is 20°C (68°F) or less
Threshold Value
  • Engine off timer on key off too fast to exceed specification
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 msec (once per driving cycle)
Mil On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
