Front Seat Back Cover: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  1. Remove the front seat shield outer cover.

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT SHIELD OUTER COVER ")

  2. Remove the front seat shield inner cover.

    Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT SHIELD INNER COVER ")

  3. Push the lock pin, remove the front seat headrest (A).

  4. Separate the center airbag connector (A) and center side airbag connector (B).

  5. Separate the front seat lower protector (A).

  6. Disconnect the connectors (A).

  7. Remove the front seat back board (A).
    NOTE:
    • Grasp the both lower sides of back board with hands and then remove it in the direction of the arrow.
    • Be careful not to damage the fixing clips.

  8. Disconnect the ergo motion connector (A) and tube (B).

  9. Loosen the mounting bolts and separate the front seat back frame and front seat cushion frame.

    Tightening torque: 

    44.1 - 53.9 N.m (4.5 - 5.5 kgf.m, 32.5 - 39.8 - 50.6 lb-ft)

  10. Remove the headrest guides (A).

    Information 

    1. Press both locking pins.

    2. Remove the headrest guide in the direction of the arrow.

  11. Disconnect the seat blower connector (A).

  12. Remove the protector (A) from the front seat back frame and then remove the front seat back cover.

  13. After removing the Velcro tape (A) and tie-down clips (B) inside the front seat back cover, remove the seat back cover (C).

    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to deviate from the pads, insert wires, and aplix.
  14. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information

    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
