KICKDOWN Cable: Tracker

  1. Ensure accelerator cable is adjusted correctly. Loosen kickdown cable lock nut and adjusting nut. See Fig 1. Depress accelerator pedal fully and hold in this position.
  2. Pull kickdown cable in "A" direction. See Fig 1. Adjust lock nut-to-bracket clearance to 0-.039" (0-1 mm) by turning lock nut. When adjusting clearance, lock nut must NOT contact bracket.
  3. Release accelerator pedal. Keeping lock nut in place, adjust lock nut-to-bracket clearance to 0-.039" (0-1 mm) by turning ADJUSTING nut. When clearance is correct, tighten lock nut securely.
