Bench Testing: Armature

  1. Using ohmmeter, ensure continuity DOES NOT exist between commutator and armature core. Ensure continuity DOES NOT exist between commutator and shaft. If continuity exists, replace armature.
  2. Ensure continuity exists between any two commutator segments. If continuity DOES NOT exist, replace armature.
