EGR Modulator

  1. Remove EGR modulator. Plug one upper vacuum hose fitting while applying vacuum to opposite vacuum hose fitting. Vacuum should not hold. If vacuum holds, check for plugged modulator filter. Filter is located under removable upper cap (if equipped).
  2. Apply low air pressure to bottom fitting of modulator while applying vacuum with vacuum pump. Vacuum should hold. If not, replace EGR modulator.
