Leak Test

Tools Required:
J 23575-B Manifold Gage Set
J 26934 H-10B Electronic Leak Detector

Following overhaul of the compressor, conduct this leak test to make sure that unit reassembly was sound.

1. Connect a J 23575-B to compressor service valve.

2. Charge compressor with refrigerant from a refrigerant drum until the pressure is 296 kPa (43 psi).

3. Check component for leaks using a J 26934.

4. If leakage is found, repair or replace compressor.
