Checking Fluid Level

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1989 Isuzu I-Mark, 1988 Isuzu I-Mark, and 1987 Isuzu I-Mark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Park vehicle on level surface. Place selector lever in "P" position, set parking brake and run engine to operating temperature. Apply brake pedal. Move shift lever through each gear. Place shift lever in "P" position.
  2. With engine idling, clean dipstick and insert. Remove dipstick and check level reading. Fluid level should be between dimples of "HOT" range.
