Clutch Assembly: Installation
- Use clutch centering tool to center clutch disc on flywheel. Tighten pressure plate bolts alternately and evenly in a diagonal pattern to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS at the end of this article. Start with bolt near 3 upper dowel pins.
- Apply grease to release fork contact surfaces, release bearing and hub. Lightly lubricate clutch disc splines using GM P/N 1051344 lubricant. Hold release bearing lever in fully retracted position during transaxle installation to prevent damage to transaxle during installation. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
