Diagnostic Testing: Introduction

When trouble shooting transaxle, first check for stored DTCs. Perform TCM DIAGNOSTIC CIRCUIT CHECK before diagnosing any DTCs. Repair as necessary. If no DTCs are present, perform manual shifting test to determine if problem is electrical or mechanical related. See MANUAL SHIFTING TEST  under TRANSMISSION SHIFT TESTING.
